FELT FALL LEAF GARLAND - how-to

Oh, Fall!  I love, love, love it - all the crunchy leaves, caramel apples, pumpkin everything, hayrides, apple orchards, beautiful colors, and harvest moons.

I wanted to bring the magic of this short season indoors, so I made (da-da-dum) a felt garland of leaves! I wanted to decorate with something that could keep the house looking cozy and happy 'til Thanksgiving and that I could use year after year (provided that I can find it).

Click here for the template that I used.

YOU WILL NEED:
Felt in fall colors: Red, Orange, Brown, etc.
Scissors
Ribbon or yarn
Needle and thread, sewing machine, or fabric glue

First, cut out the paper shapes for your template and set them onto your felt and trace around them with a dark marker or pencil.

I found that it works to cut out two layers at a time to cut down on your cutting time.

Next, glue or stitch each leaf onto your ribbon or yarn and hang it up to spread some Fall cheer!
