DIY YARN POM POMS - no tools needed

I love pom poms - they just add so much fun to anything.  Here's a quick step-by-step guide to making your own.  You can make them any size and any level of puffiness that you want.  I've used mine on pillows, hats, mittens, blankets, and slippers, but the possibilities are almost endless!  Have fun!

YOU WILL NEED:

Yarn
Scissors
Your Hand

Using your four fingers as a guide, wrap yarn around and around them until it looks like it will be a nice size for a pom pom.  The more you wrap it, the fluffier it will be.  I like mine a little goggly and sparse, though, they seem more charming (in sort of an "aww, it's the runt of the litter" way).

Slip it off of your fingers carefully.  Cut a piece of yarn about twice the length of your wrapped yarns.

Tie the piece of yarn in the middle of the wrapped yarns with a double knot as tightly as you can.

Cut through the loops on either end, pulling them tightly as you do.

Trim off any extra long pieces if need be.

Fluff them up to make the pom pom.
